There’s nothing like a good art exhibition to get you thinking and widen your horizons. I’ve been working as an artist for more years than I care to admit and visiting exhibitions since I first started.

For what it’s worth I’d like to share some ideas about what’s going on, both in my own work and on the exhibition stage.

I have downloaded from rubisouthpaints.wordpress.com an image of Da Vinci’s Last Supper. I know that it is not now copyrighted but I just want to make sure as I want to use it on the cover of a book “Food from the Kings Table”, a book of 52 weeks of devotions. I will be modifying it to meet my needs and that of the book. At the moment I feel from a spiritual level that this is the answer to my creation of said cover. So my big concern is to never use someone elses work that is copyrighted yet I know the copyright is for 70 years after the death of the creator. So I should be alright – am I correct? HLower
